The Best SEO Plugin

Faced with a choice, I was never quite sure which was the best SEO plugin to use for my blog, so I picked one, more or less at random, just to get something going. Today I discovered one that seems far better than any I've used before.
The best SEO plugin for Wordpress
I was writing for another website and when posting my article onto their blog I came across the Wordpress SEO plugin from Yoast and I was totally blown away by the power of it. Using it was an education all of its own.

Hosting your website

Tips on website hosting
Hosting your website means, loosely translated, where you will store the files that make up your site so that others on the Internet can have access to them.

Sorry if that's over-simplistic for some people, but when I first started out on-line I had no idea what hosting was but everyone assumed I knew!

Deciding where to host your website and/or blog is not a decision to be made lightly. Unfortunately I DID make it lightly, because I didn't understand all the... Read more about http://joyhealey.com/hosting-your-website/

Re-using Old Content

Re-using old articles
I "promised" to still keep plugging away at those projects that are generating some income while spending the main amount of my time on the new project.

The new  course required me to go to my (rather neglected) Analytics account, to get code for the list building site. So of course while I was there I checked up on the stats for some of my older sites and was pleasantly surprised to find that some very old article pages had received visitors. In fact they are so old... Read more about article marketing http://joyhealey.com/re-using-old-content/

YouTube Video Editing

Anyone who has read this blog before will be aware that YouTube Video Editing, indeed anything to do with videos, sets me into a a panic!

I know that Google is said to like videos and sends more traffic to blogs and websites with videos on - because website viewers, including me, enjoy watching videos. So it's thought to be a good way of generating free traffic.

From my limited knowledge of SEO it seems reasonable to assume that people stay on a page with videos for longer than they might... Read more about adding audio to youtube http://joyhealey.com/youtube-video-editing/

Building A List

Building a list of customers and prospects is the most important part of any business. It can't be repeated often enough.  NOT building a list from "day 1" was the biggest mistake I made when starting my business online.

So while I am trying VERY hard (and mostly succeeding) to stay away from "Bright Shiny Objects" - I'm a sucker for ways to get new subscribers onto my list, and have presented a few of them to you before.

While these previous offerings are excellent (and I'm still using... Read more about list building for beginners http://joyhealey.com/building-list/
